The Universe is a vast canvas to set one's work on. It's a good thing I'm not agoraphobic...
There's a spectacular beauty to the expanses of space. Some people seem to find it terrifying; thanks to a book called Space - Time - Infinity, which fortunately my mother considered appropriate reading for a six year old, I find it exhilarating. The birth of stars, the emergence of worlds from wastelands of gas and dust, the explosion of supernovae and the insatiable appetite of black holes... Let's just say that it's hard to confine oneself to a single world when you've seen just a frac- tion of what's out there.
So I decided not to restrict myself to a world, or even a solar system, or even, comes to that, a galaxy. It's the Universe or bust, my friends.
So step into my Universe. Or at least those parts of it I've mapped so far. Unfortunately, I haven't got the tacky souvenirs made yet, but you'll get to see some sights, meet some interesting folk, and possibly go where only Dana Hunter and her cast have gone before...
